Our Artists
David McEvoy
David has been sculpting in metal for twenty years producing limited edition works and various commissions. What started as a passing interest has now become a way of life.
Commenting on his work:
I enjoy working in Silicon Bronze – it appeals to my structural engineering background. Aluminium and silver are also is a pleasure to work with for the clean lines and reflections you can create. More recently I have been experimenting with 3D printing to create PLA moulds allowing me to generate complex shapes that would be problematic to produce in wax.
I do prefer abstract works although some can be technically challenging – my ‘dragon snake’ is a prime example.
I had the privilege of being tutored by Vlase Nikoleski at the University of Southern Queensland as well as studying blacksmithing, silver smithing, metal fabrication and portrait modelling at USQ McGregor Schools.
Creating a Bronze original can at times be complex, time consuming and frustrating process, but as a mentor once told me ‘You are creating a work that can last a thousand years, what is your hurry?’
David is always happy to discuss any of his work, Studio operations and capabilities. He can be contacted at david@hamptonvalleystudio.com.au

Denise Rosser
Denise has been working as a sculptor for well over 20yrs now, and produces both Limited Edition and Original works of Art in BRONZE, CLAY and PEWTER and has work in many private collections both in Australia and overseas.
Commenting on her work Denise added:
Bronze Collection
My Bronzes are predominately figurative, ranging from realistic portrait sculptures to more abstract works and I enjoy working in different styles depending upon the emotion or message I wish to convey. The bronze sculptures are created using the lost wax method, and I do both the original sculptures as well as all stages of casting them in bronze, which is a very time consuming and challenging process ....but the end result is totally worth it!
Clay Sculptures
My original and limited edition sculptures are sculpted from local clays, and after bisque firing are either smoke fired, or feature the earthy natural colours of the clay. I sculpt a range of work : including sculptural incense burners, candle / light sculptures and horti-sculptures and enjoy combining useful aspects to works of Art which I feel adds to their beauty by enriching people's daily lives when they are used ....., in a way that mass produced imports never can ......and is a tradition I am happy to continue.
Tiny Life Sculptures
Tiny Life Sculptures in bronze, pewter and silver bronze is my most recent collection. They range in size from 4cm – to 9 cm. The first collection is titled “Goddess Within” in celebration of the divinity, strength and beauty within every woman, and they sit on beautiful quartz crystals which can also be used as a meditation crystals.
